To the catalog to the main (1)The UKRM-Ch device is a closed metal cabinet with the degree of protection against external impacts not lower than IP31. Depending on the type of the capacitor unit (adjustable / not adjustable), power capacitors, fuses and contactors may be installed inside the cabinet. A controller is located on the door and it is used for automatic control of phases depending on the previously adjusted parameters and the current condition of the controlled network.
The UKRM-Ch devices are produced in accordance with the Technical Specifications (TS) 3434-005-20582116-2013.

Additionally the cabinet is equipped with fans for forced air cooling of the power capacitors.

The device is equipped with eco-friendly up-to-date capacitors. The service life of the capacitors is not less than 100000 hours (about 12 years). Special contactors are used as commutators. The contactors are produced in Czech Republic and Germany and their structure contains an additional group of contacts which includes additional fuses which limit the capacitor charge current for a certain period after the startup. After that the switching to the main contactors is performed. It helps to increase the service life of the contactors and capacitors themselves and also the service life of commutation equipment of the factory.

To the catalog to the main (2)In case the factory’s network contains upper harmonics exceeding the requirements for cosine capacitors each compensation phase shall be equipped with filtering throttles.

The ‘Novar 1005’, ‘Novar 114’ or the ‘FCR’ reactive power regulators are used as controllers.
The regulators operate in the automatic mode which allows optimization of control of the reactive power compensation process. The controller connects and disconnects the capacitors in such a way that an optimum compensation ratio is obtained during one adjustment cycle and with the minimum number of switched phases. The controller provides control of the phases condition and in case there are differences between the current and the original condition of one phase it is temporary excluded from the adjustment process.

The structure includes a forced air cooling relay which actuates in cases when the temperature exceeds 35°С and an indicator which indicates the presence of voltage in the device busbars.
